一:Basic Principles of Lollipop Production Line
The lollipop production line mixes and boils sugar, syrup, water, edible gum, and other ingredients into a solution. The solution is then poured into specified candy molds through a quantitative pouring system or processed by kneading and stretching, followed by stamping and forming with molds.




二:Basic Configuration of a Lollipop Production Line
1. Boiling system
The boiling system generally consists of a boiling pot and a storage tank. A boiling pot is a container that heats and melts raw materials such as white sugar and syrup into a solution with a specified concentration. Generally, it is made of 304 stainless steel. Its heating methods can be electric heating tube heating, saturated steam heating, electromagnetic induction heating, and combustible gas heating. The heating methods can be configured according to customers’ energy consumption requirements. If customers have high-quality requirements for boiled solutions, vacuum equipment can be added, such as a water ring vacuum pump, which can greatly remove water and air in the solution, thus improving the quality of the solution. The storage tank is used to cache the boiled solution for the next use.
2. Molding system
2.1. The lollipop-forming system is generally divided into a quantitative pouring machine and a lollipop-forming machine according to the candy composition of the lollipop. In the process of making lollipops, if there are edible gums such as gelatin, carrageenan, and pectin in the raw materials, then this lollipop is a soft lollipop; if the raw materials do not contain any edible gum, then this product is generally called a hard lollipop.
2.2 Generally, soft lollipops are poured into a mold with a specified shape by a quantitative pouring machine. The quantitative pouring machine is driven by a servo system to do reciprocating operations. Due to the high-precision characteristics of the servo system, appropriate parameters can be adjusted according to the volume of the candy mold, and the servo system will drive the pouring head to do a reciprocating operation with a specified stroke, and the reciprocating motion of the specified stroke will push out the equivalent volume of solution into the candy mold.
2.3. Compared with soft lollipops, the pretreatment of hard lollipops is more complicated. The boiled solution is transferred to a sugar kneading device (manual or mechanical device), and the liquid solution with a temperature of about 140°C is kneaded to a sugar mass cooled to about 80°C, and then the sugar mass is put into a heat-preserving roller bed and a drawing machine for stretching, and finally it is molded in a lollipop molding machine. The lollipop-forming machine is a turntable mechanism with a mold. The candy bars are sent to the turntable mechanism. When the mold on the mechanism is closed, the candy bars are cut into small pieces with a fixed length, and then the small pieces fall into the mold and are extruded. Finally, the molded products fall off with the rotation of the mechanical mechanism.
3. Cooling system
Due to the characteristics of raw materials of hard lollipops and soft lollipops, their cooling requirements are also different. Hard lollipops require rapid cooling and high cooling intensity, and they require rapid hardening and molding. Therefore, in general, a cold water vibrating screen and a strong cold wind tunnel will be used in the cooling process of hard lollipops to ensure that they are cooled quickly without sand. The cooling process and cooling speed of soft lollipops are not as high as those of hard lollipops, so it is only necessary to ensure their stable setting and not to make them hard and affect the eating taste. The general weak, cold wind tunnel can meet the use requirements.




三.Notes for Lollipop Production Line
1. Please select the corresponding equipment according to your product characteristics. Do not mix hard lollipop production equipment with soft lollipop equipment, so as to avoid affecting product quality.
2. There are risks such as mechanical injury and high-temperature scalding during production and processing. All operators must receive risk identification training and operation training before using the equipment.
3. During equipment installation, ensure good levelness and verticality and sufficient operating space for operators. Ensure all mechanical mechanisms run correctly and smoothly, and pipe connections are firm, reliable, and leak-free. Verify that the power supply, water supply, air supply, and other connections are properly installed.
4. Please clean the equipment with hot water in a timely manner after use to avoid residue that may affect machine performance or the next batch of production. Bearings, transmission mechanisms, reducers, pumps, and other components shall be maintained every 2–3 production cycles.
